Come out and join us for a unique event called "Tour de Tips". Cycling through the regions of Peel, Halton, Hamilton, and ending in Niagara with a wine tour and sampling of some of Niagara's finest wine at Hernder Estate Wines.
Tour de TIPS ride is a unique, one day cycling event that will take place on June 24th 2012. The ride will start near the lake in Port Credit in Mississauga Ontario.
This year riders will have the option of riding 90, 120 or 160 kms before finishing their ride in the wine region of Niagara. For the first 45 kms the ride will take you along Lake Ontario where you will be able to enjoy the beautiful views and scenic surroundings. Riders will then wind their way through the wine region of Niagara and finish with a celebration at Hernder Estate Wines.
Included with your registration: minor bike tune up, at the start of the ride, support vehicles along the route, fuelling stations (drinks and healthy snacks), light lunch, commerative t-shirt and if over 19 years wine sampling at the conclusion of the ride.
This is the 6th year of the ride which is the creation of Sgt. Gary Gold, the Police Coordinator for Crime Stoppers of Halton. The ride is a vehicle to raise both awareness and funds for Crime Stoppers.
Through fundraisers like this, Crime Stoppers programs can operate as they are not directly publicly funded. Your pledges will go a long way to keep our communities safe.
